Having Trouble Finding The Right Photographer?
THIS WAS BETTER THAN I EXPECTED
When we spoke with the Stubley family about using their DreamSession footage for our recent commercial that was being produced for BeachTV along the Florida panhandle. We asked them a few questions about their past experience with hiring a photographer for life events. At DreamSessions, we were curious what their perspective was, since they are a local family from the neighboring Walton county off the gulf coast in Florida.
We learned more about the process they went through to find a photographer
Courtney Stubley said, when she goes to look for a photographer that she will first ask friends for recommendations that they were happy with, then look them up on social media and/or their web site to see if their esthetics match what they are looking for. She stated that getting to see their work ahead of time is very important.
I also asked what her past experiences have been when using a photographer or taking pics herself.
She stated that past experiences with having 4 kids getting pictures taken that the experience can be a chore getting the kids to look in the same direction at the same, and her biggest fear is as a mother is at the end of the photo session that the everyone didn’t have fun and that whole thing felt like a chore. As well as it was very important to capture moments and memories.

We chose the perfect spot for a beautiful sunset on Panama City Beach, FL. We couldn’t have picked a more perfect day for the shoot along the Emerald Coast. Our crew setup to capture the behind the scenes action, while Kevin went to work performing his magic.
What part of the the DreamSession experience did you like best?
She said “the whole thing was great” she said as they were doing the DreamSession that the kids felt like movie stars, and people were pointing and looking at them! Such a fun and unique experience.
She also stated that Kevin is the type of photographer who knows what he wants, he made it very easy, he’s professional and knows his craft well.
“Kevin has the ability communicate very clearly how to pose, things she would have never thought of. Kevin did a great job of making a it memorable experience and he was a joy to work with.”
She felt that a big differentiating factor was that they got to be a part of the behind the scenes video. Since that was taking place while the photo shoot was happening, it made them feel like they were a part of a reality show and it made the shoot so much more magical and memorable.
Kevin didn’t just capture memories he made memories.
We ended the DreamSession shoot with escorting the family in the Dreamozine to their favorite restaurant, in Pier Park. Watching the kids reaction, we knew that our job of creating the ultimate experience was complete! To top it off, every DreamSession receives a beautiful 24×36″ canvas of their choosing to hang proudly in their home.
